The Second Annual Celebration Conference on Effective Liturgy A Knock at Midnight: Chicago, July 21-23, 2010
This year's Conference takes its theme from the Gospel for Sunday, July 25, the parable of the “knock at midnight.” (Luke 11:1-13). A desperate world stands at the door asking for bread. How do preachers, presiders, liturgists, music directors, catechists and others who prepare for and participate in Sunday worship help form communities eager to rise up, open their doors, welcome and share with those in urgent need?
Join an outstanding group of speakers: Gabe Huck, Mary Collins, Grayson Warren Brown, Wes Howard Brook, Denise Simeone and Roger Karban, as together we take up the challenge of effective worship in a time of crisis for both a troubled world and a divided church.

Your information is confidential and will be used only to send you conference updates. Liturgy brings the mystery of Christ to bear on the urgent needs of the world. The baptized assembly, united in Christ, prays for the needs of the world, identifies with the suffering of the poor and vulnerable, acts on their behalf. We who are formed in the paschal mystery exercise our baptismal dignity, rights and responsibilities by embodying Christ in the world. Plan on joining us as we learn, pray and reflect in Chicago, Wednesday to Friday, July 21-23, 2010.
